• Shadow Pie for Groundhog Day

There are no guarantees of an early spring regardless of what that groundhog does on February 2nd. Ordering a Shadow Pie does guarantee a sweet chocolate experience that will warm your heart no matter the weather.

For those who follow the grounghog ,here is the update from Gobbler's Knob

If folklore holds true, it could be an early spring.

As the legend goes, if it's cloudy on Groundhog Day, spring will make an early arrival.

But if it's sunny and Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, winter will hang on a little longer.

AccuWeather is predicting a mostly cloudy day for Feb. 2, and both AccuWeather and The Weather Channel are predicting a 50 percent chance of snow showers and temperatures just below 30 degrees.

No inch count is available yet.

Snow in Punxsutawney isn't unusual. In fact, it's in the forecast 10 of the next 15 days.

It remains to be seen what Pennsylvania's most famous marmot prognosticator will say about spring, but it seems safe to assume it will feel like winter next week in Gobbler's Knob.

PennLive, as it has for years, will offer full coverage of Groundhog Day festivities. Follow reporter Lisa Wardle for all the updates.
